The mission was to create a set of short-form videos in both vertical and horizontal orientation with a focus on connecting scenes from daily life to scenes of relaxing or fun activities through eye-catching, cinematic transitions with a potential for virality.
The Solution
Starting out as a small pilot from a holiday in Thailand, the project evolved over the course of almost a year to include most of the brand’s tastes. Connecting productions for these transition videos with other shootings, we were able to keep budget reasonable and still create a great variety of scenes and sets.
The Challenge
Coming up with many different ways to connect two of otherwise unrelated scenes posed a personal challenge for me in all the stages of filmmaking: Planning, shooting and editing. It ended up being a project I can attribute a lot of growth and a steep learning curve to.
